The Denver Post

Cheyenne Frontier Days Train

For more than sixty years, this annual trip was a highlight for Denver and Colorado politicians and businessmen.  They were entertained and thrilled by the trip, the rodeo, and the hospitality they received during the ride and in Cheyenne.  In 1992, The Denver Post revived this wonderful event to help celebrate the 100th anniversary of The Denver Post.  It was so much fun, the trip has become a western institution once again.

The 20th Annual Denver Post Cheyenne Frontier Days Train is scheduled to operate Saturday, July 23, 2011.  Reservations will be available online or in The Denver Post newspaper beginning mid-May 2011.  Passengers traveling on the train in 2010 will be mailed an invitation for reservations in early May 2011.  Details regarding reservations is tentative, and subject to change.

This excursion has become a popular summer event.  It features a full day of western excitement with an historic train ride, barbecue lunch feast, and the world famous “Daddy of ‘em all” Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo. Tickets also include a continental breakfast, admission to the Old West Museum in Frontier Park, beverages, and a light dinner on the return trip.
